Jehovah's Witnesses Invite All to Attend "Keep Seeking First God's Kingdom!" Convention

LEKKI- Jehovah’s Witnesses are inviting all of their neighbors to attend their annual convention to be held at the Lekki Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The theme of this Year’s program is “Keep Seeking First God’s Kingdom!” A convention spokesman states: “People of many faiths pray for God’s Kingdom. This convention will explain what the Kingdom is and how it can be a positive influence in our lives. A highlight of the program will be the keynote address on Friday morning, which will discuss how that Kingdom is benefiting people today.” He adds: “A core belief of Jehovah’s Witnesses based on Biblical and historical evidence is that Jesus Christ began to rule as the King of God’s Kingdom in 1914. The convention program marks this year as the centennial of that event.” Starting Weekend of October, 2014, and continuing for the next eight weeks, Jehovah’s Witnesses will extend personal invitations to everyone from Surulere, Apapa, Eti-Osa, Ibeju-Lekki, Epe Local Government Areas, including Ijebu Ode, to attend the convention with them. Locally, all area’s 157 congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses will be supporting the activity of distributing printed invitations to the convention. The first three-day events to be held in Lekki will begin Friday October 24, 2014 at 8:20AM. There is no admission fee.
